So Roy’s boys were eliminated from Euro 2012 on Sunday night and given their lacklustre performance, rightly so. Yet while I was disappointed by the national teams display against Italy in the quarter finals, I was elated by the way in which the beautiful game brought people of both sexes and all ages together

So Olympic organisers, Locog, have done a U turn and declared that babies and infants under 12 months will be allowed free entry into London Olympic venues – provided they are seated on their parent’s lap

Tom Jenkins of ETOA- European Tour Operators Association – has been pointing out that the Games could be cause a downturn in tourists to London as people stay away. Hotel rates are treble the price says ETOA. Is that not enough to dissuade the tourists who would normally come?
