Camping show returns

By | Category: Travel news

For the last fifteen months there have been hardly any travel shows to which people can attend in person. Shows have been “virtual” if they have been on at all but that is about to change.

social distancing at its most obvious – camping

The National Camping Show opens again at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire from 20th-23rd of May.

Previously postponed on two previous occasions, May should be probably not be postponed again since the level of transmission has dropped.

Usually Just about travel wouldn’t give so much notice of an event being on but this is an exception. Usually tens of thousands of people attend events like this but because of coronavirus restrictions.

Anyone wanted to journey to Stoneleigh ought to register in advance as there are limits on the number of people who will be able to attend. Anyone turning up on the day stands a chance of being turned away if visitor numbers have been reached by pre-registrants.

There is no charge for entry to this year’s event.

As it stands, over 3,000 have already registered.  You can register by clicking here.

Visitors will have the opportunity to compare, browse and buy all the latest tents, caravan awnings, trailer tents, camping furniture and accessories from the leading brands. Tent and awning displays will be pitched on the grass and visitors will have the opportunity to closely examine the new ranges.

Since the pandemic began, camping, caravan and camper van holidays have become very popular due to the safety that staying in your own bubble provides.

The opportunity to travel to and attend an event in which so many people have an interest suggests the National Camping Show might be very popular with visitors.

Another small pavement on the way to normality perhaps?
