Dreamland Margate has announced that it will be free to enter during its 2019 opening season. The “opening season” is defined as running from the 6th April to 24th May.

Margate at night. But now you can relieve the old days by going to Dreamland

Whilst entry is free; that saves you £5, the rides aren’t. You still have to pay for those. But if you happen to be a Dreamland member then you have unlimited use of all rides for free throughout the season and you also get fast-track entry.

If you book your visit in advance then you can get discount on the entry fee and you will also get fast-track entry.

Dreamland has 24 vintage theme park rides rides over a 12acre and is one of the oldest surviving amusement parks in the world. It gained impetus when it was – to use the theme parks words revitalised in 2015. Those rides include the famous Scenic Railway wooden rollercoaster.

This year, Dreamland opens in a fortnight on the 6th April for weekends, Bank Holidays, and from Wednesdays to Sundays during the school holidays.

The theme park is anticipating many more visitors this year because Margate is hosting the 2019 Turner Prize although can you see people who discuss the intricacies of how light can affect artworks jumping on a roller coaster? But then I could be very wrong.

In this its 99th year (wait for the centenary celebrations; I fancy the owners have some big events planned) the outdoor Scenic Stage includes Happy Mondays, May The Fourth Sunset Session with DJ Jazzy Jeff, and DJ Annie Mac but these events will continue to be priced individually.
