My last trips were to Belize and Guatemala.

St Petersburg

Do you know where you’re going this year?
Yes – I will be visiting Russia (specifically Moscow and St Petersburg) in the autumn.

Of all the places you’ve been to, which was your favourite and why?
I’d say Chile – because of the country’s variety.

Which destination do you wish to travel to, but haven’t yet been?
It’s got to be central Asia.

In your own country, what would you recommend tourists see that isn’t in the travel guides?
I’d definitely recommend that they visit Dorset and the West Country.

How do you plan your holiday?
I typically plan my trips using a combination of guidebooks while also taking into account tips and suggestions from friends.

How often do you go away?
On average, I tend to travel two or three times a year.

Who do you travel with?
Normally I travel with work colleagues or else my wife.

Where do you see tourism in your country, in 10 years?
I wish this wasn’t the case but I’d say more down market!
