Concert in the air

By | Category: Travel news

Recently, I queried the new loyalty programme introduced by Estonian Air. It’s different. Like a concert they are having in-flight on December 8th.
You can’t say that Estonian Air isn’t innovative or adventurous in its efforts to get more passengers. Their latest attempt is a concert on December 8th with the London based Estonian born singer and songwriter, Hannah. This singer who blends folk and pop moved from her country to London a few years ago and since then has not only had three consecutive club chart number ones but has appeared in adverts promoting her homeland and spent some time visiting state schools to talk about her music.
Now she will give a 25 minute concert on board the 4.15pm flight from Tallinn to London only on that one day and that one flight. The “pop” press has picked up on the idea but I haven’t seen much in the travel press yet. And unlike a concert the number of seats is severely limited to under 200. But that won’t matter to the airline. What will is how much coverage it receives and the number of times the airline name is mentioned!
