Coming barely a year after the Texas city of San Antonio was granted UNESCO World Heritage status, the city has another honour. UNESCO has now designated it a Creative City of Gastronomy.

Texas has no World Heritage Sites but that may change next year as the Spanish colonial missions of San Antonio, Texas (to include the Alamo), as the United States nominates them for inclusion on the World Heritage List.

Now that has altered and a new river walk will connect every one of the missions.
