About

What is Just about Travel all about?

Well – put simply, Justabouttravel.net is a website  and weekly e-zine for anyone who loves travel and likes to talk about it.

When we started Just about Travel  – it was then called  CD-Traveller – nearly eight years ago, postings and stories were just a few each month. Then we began a monthly e-letter and stories went up more regularly.

It aimed to provide fun and useful features about the world of travel for those people signed up to the Consumerdata travel survey database.
Hundreds of features and thousands of emails read later and we were at the point where a monthly email was just not enough for us to talk about all the interesting things happening out there. More importantly it wasn’t enough for YOU to talk about all the interesting things happening out there. So we introduced a fortnightly e-mail or e-zine and a new website.

In January 2014 we changed the name from CD-Traveller to Just about Travel to better reflect the content. And to to stop people asking where the compact disc was! With it came a new website.

Now we have at least one new story every day, and one feature every three days, Christmas included. We regularly top a million pages viewed per month. We have over 9,000 back pages of stories and comment for you to browse through. From just one writer we now have over a dozen who have written for us.

We will continue to bring you features from selected partners  and our usual mix of tips and reviews. Ultimately we hope to be your preferred source of information about destinations as well as continuing to help all of us to enjoy the pleasures and avoid the pitfalls of travel, holidays, short-breaks and day trips.

Our thanks go to those who have commented and those who have written for us or e-mailed us with suggestions. Thanks to the destinations and PR companies who send us stories. But most of all thanks to you for reading Just about Travel and turning it into the success it has become.

Talk to you soon – there’s loads more to come
