travel-moneyAccording to ICE, the International Currency Exchange, the best currency deals at the moment suggest that Hungary is the destination you should visit.

The Hungarian Forint comes in top for budget conscious travellers, with the Pound offering over 12% more on an exchange. Both the Croatian and Czech currencies have also declined against sterling by over 8% as well.

Further afield, ICE highlights Japan, Mexico and Australia were the pound has strengthened against the local currencies making spending money go a lot further once you reach them,

But most of us will opt for European holidays, the majority being within the euro zone so don’t forget that, with travellers now getting over 1.30 euros to the pound, holidays will seem a little cheaper over last year.

The euro zone, of course, includes Greece which has been experiencing a bit of a tourist boom of the last two years as local hoteliers and attractions cut prices to lure more of us there.  But what will their currency be in the future?  Luckily if they leave the euro, your euros will still be valid in all the remaining euro countries so don’t hesitate in buying euros for your Greek holiday thinking that you may not be able to use them if the country introduces a new currency.
