Nickelodeon Land

In Madrid’s Parque de Atracciones a new attraction has opened – Nickelodeon Land.

Parque de Atracciones is a big visitor attraction in the Spanish capital receiving millions of visitors a year. Now with this new draw which covers 15,000 square metres even more will be tempted to see the customised Nickelodeon-branded attractions. These include 10 new rides such as “Dora’s Adventure” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – License to Drive”, two live theatrical shows SpongeBob’s “Krabby Patty Celebration”, street entertainment features the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, and meet and greets with some of Nickelodeon’s most beloved characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Dora the Explorer, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, amongst many others.

Nickelodeon Land will also include a restaurant, shopping and leisure areas and the world’s first SpongeBob Pineapple House, where families and kids can take a picture in his home.

A good tip is  – if you are planning on visiting – to buy your tickets online and three days in advance and you’ll save over the gate prices.

Over here, many people will have combined a visit or holiday to Blackpool with a trip to Nickelodeon Land at the Pleasure Beach so they know the appeal.  This Spanish site joins Nickland at Movie Park Germany (at Bottrop, 30 miles from Dusseldorf, which is even twinned with Blackpool) as being the only two continental Nickelodeon sites.
