FINALLY! Britain is learning to say ni hao to Chinese visitors

By | Category: Travel news, Travel rumblings

So Home Secretary, Theresa May, has pledged to improve the visa system in an attempt to attract more Chinese visitors – both for business travellers and tourists – to Britain.

May is reported to have promised to ensure a “faster service”, as well as working on boosting Britain’s image in a bid to encourage more Chinese investment.

About time. Around 150,000 Chinese tourists visit Britain each year whereas more than a million make for France – where they don’t have to wait weeks for a visa. We want the Chinese spending their kuai in the UK – not across the channel.
