Maryland’s magical miracle on 34th Street

By | Category: Travel news

Every December thousands of visitors flock to 34th Street in Baltimore (Maryland) as it joyfully bursts to life with a Christmas light display extravagansa. Each of the houses in the block is decorated vibrantly representing the owner’s personality and style. There are no ‘Bah Humbug’ Scrooges on this street as every resident embraces the Christmas spirit to make their house stand out – think inflatable snow-globes, musical trains, dancing angels, lit reindeers and more.

Now in its 62nd year, this unassuming neighbourhood, now known as ‘Christmas Street’, boasts one of the most fantastic and quirky light displays in the world.

There is no committee involved in organising this display; it’s just a “bunch of folks putting up some lights”.
