Brits driven purely by price when choosing holiday destinations

A huge 61 per cent of Brits say they select their holiday by searching online for the best deals, a new poll reveals.

Gone are the days when we would seek out the most exotic locations from glossy brochures, Brits now go wherever is cheapest – and most find it online.

Seventeen per cent of customers decide where to go based on recommendations from friends, while 13 per cent stick to what they know and head for the same place year after year.

Travel magazines provide inspiration for eight per cent of travellers and a miniscule one per cent watch travel TV to pick their destination.
