All I want for Christmas is… a holiday!

By | Category: Travel news

A new survey has revealed that more than one in two Brits would rather spend money on a holiday with their partner than on frivolous festive presents this year.

With household budgets still tight, the pile of presents under the Christmas tree will be much smaller for 56 per cent of HolidayExtras.com customers who refuse to sacrifice their break.

Interestingly, 64 per cent of women polled in the online survey said that they would prefer not to have gifts if it meant the loss of their overseas winter-warmer, compared to 49 per cent of men.

There’s no doubt that British men are more reluctant to go without their stocking – 18 per cent are insistent that they have a present to open on Christmas Day compared to 13 per cent of women.

A further quarter of those surveyed (23 per cent) would diplomatically give up their Christmas treats for a yuletide break if that’s what their partner wanted.
