New Forest Tour Bus

For a relaxing break where you do little and let others do the work maybe you should consider a shortbreak in the New Forest. The New Forest Tourism Association (www.thenewforest.co.uk) has a popular hop-on hop-off bus tour service which will run to mid September. The bus is
a perfect, environmentally responsible way in which to enjoy many popular
areas of The New Forest, with one ticket for the whole all day.

Running seven days a week and travelling in a circular route, two open-top
buses start simultaneously. One at 10.15am from Lyndhurst main car park
travelling clockwise, and the other from Beaulieu village, travelling
anti-clockwise.

Stops include Hollands Wood camp site, Brockenhurst rail station, Lymington
High Street (Waitrose on Saturdays), Lymington Gosport Street, Lymington
Pier, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Beaulieu village, Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu Road
rail station and Denny Wood camp site. The last departure from Lyndhurst is
at 5.15pm, terminating at Beaulieu village at 6.15pm.

Help keep traffic levels down during the summer; get out of the car, take the car or train to Brockenhurst station and let the bus do the rest.

Tickets cost £9 per adult (children aged 5-15 half-price) or for a group of
up to 5 people travelling together, £22.50. They are available at Lyndhurst
and Lymington Visitor Information Centres and Local Information Points at
Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and Sway. Tickets can also be purchased on the bus.

With each ticket comes a New Forest Tour Official Guide that provides useful
information about what to look out for, discounts for attractions and 4
sample cycling/walking routes. See more, explore more and enjoy more; go
green and discover The New Forest. For information about accommodation,
attractions and activities in the New Forest visit: www.thenewforest.co.uk

Anthony Climpson, Destination manager for New Forest Tourism said,
‘The great thing about the hop-on-hop-off New Forest Tour Bus is that not
only does it gives visitors a unique upstairs open top view of the forest
that you can’t get from a car but also its environmentally friendly being a
good car free way to discover the area. It connects all our main forest
villages, visitor attractions such as Beaulieu and Exbury Gardens, railway
stations, the ferry port and campsites. The free guidebook, a souvenir in itself, gives plenty of history and background, maps for walking and cycle routes from the bus stops. It’s an all day hop on hop off visual tour of everything that’s great about the forest.’
