So what are we doing?
One destination or attraction in each of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will receive a grant worth £10,000 to support their marketing in the first four months of 2010. We, with our sister venture, Travel XRay, will provide
- Analysis of the types of visitors they receive and should receive
- Four months advertising in CD Traveller (which reaches over 1.2 million with each issue)
- An e-mailing to 50,000 people selected because they fit the profile of those most likely to want to visit that destination.
The winners can also tap into the experience of our writers to help create their articles and advertorials.
To be in with a chance of winning a grant, all an entrant needs to do is e-mail us by December 15 explaining, in no more than 1,000 words, why their destination should receive the support. An independent panel of judges will select the winners who will be notified before Christmas.
If you know of a destination or attraction that fits the bill then let them know about the grant. It may well be that they didn’t receive the e-mail we sent out to over 350 destinations and attractions last week.
